Older short lady taking orders has a wonderful spiritand was so kind. Not to mention that my food was so good Had the rib-tip dinner with mac, greens and potato salad. I'm sitting here trying to save it and not eat it all at once Thanks so much

The Rib tips are always so tender and good. the cook them very good King ribs is my favorite rib joint. The ribs are good too.I love the chess pie too. their sauce is very good

Great tasting ribs (I always get rib tips with sauce on side). Great sauce, tasty mac-n-cheese, tasty potato salad. Highly recommended.

From out of town, and things in the downtown were crazy as far as trying to find parking, so we decided to put some $$ into the local economy, rather than go to a chain place. SO glad we did!! An easy drive from the University across the river - then followed the delicious smelling smoke to the parking lot (no kidding). Drive thru line was long, so we decided to eat in. Inside is simple & straightforward, with plenty of seating. A few tvs showing nothing special, and the menu behind the counter. No brisket on the menu, but my girl ordered the rib dinner with mild sauce, baked beans & potato salad, and I had the chicken & rib combo with the mixed sauce, Mac & cheese and greens. Because I ordered greens as a side I also got cornbread, and rolls come with all dinners. Initially, she got a coleslaw (which she hates), so I went to the counter to exchange it - and they told me to keep it & gave her a potato salad with no problem. The ribs were BIG & meaty! Fall off the bone deliciousness... just so tender. We polished them all off! The mix sauce was served on the side, so I just dipped my ribs and the amazing 1/2 chicken, which I absolutely devoured. The sauce was delicious, with a little (but not too much) kick. Greens had a nice crispness to bite into - not overcooked, like some places. The Mac & cheese was gooey and wonderful. I did eat the coleslaw, which was fine. The cornbread was good, too. My girl liked the potato salad & baked beans. The rolls were good to sop up barbecue sauce. Also, plenty of wet wipes & toothpicks... much appreciated & very needed. The staff were all great to everyone who walked in the door to eat there (not many), or get take-out (quite a few), and the drive thru never stopped for even a moment! I feel like their eat-in customers may have dropped off during the pandemic, but the drive thru is kicking. Constant sound of chopping in the back kitchen, so the food is made pretty fresh from just the sheer volume of customers. Definitely recommended to our friends who were also visiting that weekend. All the stars - would definitely eat there again!

This is the best BBQ in Indy hands down. You need to try this. I got the ribs with hot BBQ sauce and Mac& cheese and baked beans. The ribs were insane. Smoked to perfection. The BBQ sauce was so so good. It was tangy, sweet, and spicy. Both sides were great too, especially the beans. The cashier was friendly and my meal came out quick. I met the chef/owner when he was walking around the dine in area and he was friendly, too. The inside is very cozy and has a vintage look. Overall this is simply the best BBQ in Indy. Do big delay get out and try it ASAP.

The ribs are by far some of the best in the Midwest. That being said from someone from Texas, but these are proper smoked and are well worth the price. Just be prepared to wait if you drive up. I think it's worth at least a 40 min wait but that line varies heavily

My family and I stopped here for lunch last week to celebrate my birthday. Having a taste for ribs, we thought we would try King Ribs. My wife and I shared a slab of ribs. They were meaty and delicious! The sauces (mild and hot) were good but a little thin. My son and daughter tried the chicken and thought it was very good too. Sides (mac & cheese, cole slaw, corn bread) were good but the main dishes are the star of the show here! Service was good. Atmosphere (old fast food restaurant) was below average.
